Mind Your Credit: Assessing the Health of the Ripple Credit Network [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
The Ripple credit network has emerged as a payment backbone with key advantages for financial institutions and the remittance industry. Its path-based IOweYou (IOU) settlements across different (crypto)currencies conceptually distinguishes the Ripple blockchain from cryptocurrencies, and makes it highly suitable to an orthogonal yet vast set of ...

Enhancer Extrachromosomal Circular DNA ANKRD28 Elicits Drug Resistance via POU2F2‐Mediated Transcriptional Network in Multiple Myeloma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enhancer eccANKRD28‐manipulated MM cells have been demonstrated to facilitate drug resistance and promote MM progression by activating the key transcription factor, POU2F2. POU2F2 interacts with sequence‐specific eccANKRD28 as well as RUNX1 and RUNX2 motifs to form the protein complex, which activates the promoter of oncogenes (IRF4, JUNB, IKZF3, et al.

Comparative Analysis of Remittance Inflows- International Reserves-External Debt Dyad: Exploring Bangladesh's Economic Resilience in Avoiding Sovereign Default Compared to Sri Lanka [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
External debt has been identified as the most liable to cause financial crises in developing countries in Asia and Latin America. One recent example of near bankruptcy in Sri Lanka has raised serious concerns among economists about how to anticipate and tackle external debt-related problems.

Eosinophils‐Induced Lumican Secretion by Synovial Fibroblasts Alleviates Cartilage Degradation via the TGF‐β Pathway Mediated by Anxa1 Binding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Eosinophils play a crucial role in the progression of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). This study demonstrates that eosinophils, induced by OVA/IL‐5, promote Lumican secretion in the synovium, which binds to Annexin A1 in chondrocytes, inhibiting transforming growth factor β2 and Smad2/3 phosphorylation.

Bitcoin-NG: A Scalable Blockchain Protocol [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Cryptocurrencies, based on and led by Bitcoin, have shown promise as infrastructure for pseudonymous online payments, cheap remittance, trustless digital asset exchange, and smart contracts. However, Bitcoin-derived blockchain protocols have inherent scalability limits that trade-off between throughput and latency and withhold the realization of this ...

Engineered Tissue Models to Decode Host–Microbiota Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host–Microbiota interactions in the human body. Created in BioRender. Ghezzi, C. (2025) https://BioRender.com/ihivskg. Abstract A mutualistic co‐evolution exists between the host and its associated microbiota in the human body. Bacteria establish ecological niches in various tissues of the body, locally influencing their physiology and functions, but ...

Dynamic Link and Flow Prediction in Bank Transfer Networks [PDF]

open access: yesComplex Networks & Their Applications XIII: Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Complex Networks and Their Applications (COMPLEX NETWORKS 2024)
The prediction of both the existence and weight of network links at future time points is essential as complex networks evolve over time. Traditional methods, such as vector autoregression and factor models, have been applied to small, dense networks, but become computationally impractical for large-scale, sparse, and complex networks.
