Enhancing Direct Solar Water Splitting via ALD of Multifunctional TiO2/Pt Nanoparticle Coatings With Engineered Interfaces to GaAs/GaInP Tandem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multifunctional atomic layer deposited coatings and interface treatments enhance direct solar water splitting on GaAs/GaInP tandem cells. Optimized TiO2/Pt nanoparticle bilayers ensure durability and catalytic efficiency with minimal optical losses, while H2 plasma pretreatments maximize photovoltage and interfacial charge extraction.

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Subject of the year: remote monitoring [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology, 2009
Implanted cardiac devices have evolved dramatically over the last 50 years from large simple “machines” that could treat only bradycardia to sophisticated “mini-computers” that can be used for the treatment of many different arrhythmias and as an important adjunctive therapy for systolic heart failure, and as a diagnostic option for patients with ...

Ultraviolet–Visible Spin‐Resolved Chip‐Scale Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By harnessing phase, wavelength, and spin multiplexing, the proposed meta‐spectrometer enables spin‐resolved spectral analysis within a compact footprint. The presented dual‐band (320–450 nm) spin‐resolved meta‐spectrometer features enhance optical functionality, allowing for the simultaneous discrimination of spectral content and spin states of light ...

Study of crop condition and assessment of agricultural drought in rabi season using IRS – AWiFS images

open access: yesJournal of Agrometeorology, 2008
Although kharif season crops are more vulnerable to agricultural droughts due to uncertainty in monsoon rains, crops of rabi season grown under residual soil moisture and rainfed minor irrigation tanks are equally vulnerable to drought hazard.
