Designing Stable Periodic Magnetization Textures by Tailoring Anisotropies and Applying Geometrical Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores the possibility to design stable periodic magnetization textures by transforming a 2D film into a rolled‐up 3D architecture and back. In case of an isotropic exchange‐biased layer architecture, the magnetization encoded in the 3D state evolves into a spin‐spiral pattern with controlled periodicity after unrolling.

Predicting missing field boundaries to increase per-field classification accuracy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
With the emergence of very high spatial resolution satellite images, the spatial resolution gap which existed between satellite images and aerial photographs has decreased. A study of the potential of these images for tree species in" monoculture stands"

[Assessment of urban location factors from remote sensing]

open access: yes, 2006
Highly-dynamic, explosively and unmanageably growing megacities arise throughout the world. This rapid alteration within the urban environment often results in a lack of reasonable information for city planning, risk management or site selection.

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...
