EFFICIENCY OF MATERIAL REMOVAL AND MACHINING IN CUTTING
Among the methods and parameters used for analyzing the productivity of machining procedures, this paper deals with an analysis based on the efficiency (material volume removed in unit time) of material removal. The paper focuses on how this specific indicator, the material removal rate (MRR), changes when different machining procedures and production ...

A review of agricultural waste activated carbon and effect on adsorption parameters [PDF]
Activated carbon is widely used in industrial wastewater treatment operation because of the effectiveness in removing the dye. As the conventional activated carbon on market nowadays is expensive, lots of research was done on agricultural materials to ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Electrochemical Process for Diazinon Removal from Aqueous Media: Design of Experiments, Optimization, and DLLME-GC-FID Method for Diazinon Determination [PDF]
In the present study, electrochemical process was studied via removal of diazinon (O,O-diethyl O-2-isopropyl-6-methylpyrimidin-4-yl phosphorothioate) as an insecticide/ acaricide organic case study.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Calcium phosphate precipitation modeling in a pellet reactor [PDF]
The calcium phosphate precipitation in a pellet reactor can be evaluated by two main parameters: the phosphate conversion ratio and the phosphate removal efficiency. The conversion ratio depends mainly on the pH. The pellet reactor efficiency depends not

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

EFFICIENT ELECTROCHEMICAL AMMONIA REMOVAL SYSTEM
Efficient electrochemical ammonia oxidation system was studied with an objective to enhance the selectivity of ammonia to nitrogen gas and to remove the by-products in an undivided electrochemical cell, in which various cathodes (Ti, Cu/Zn, Fe) and Ti/IrO -Pt anode were assembled. In the present study, anodic oxidation of ammonia and cathodic reduction
