PSEUDOSTENOSIS OF THE RENAL ARTERY [PDF]
Pseudostenosis or spasm of the renal artery was seen in approximately 2 per cent of selective renal arteriograms in 159 patients. It is believed to be caused by the mechanical irritation of the catheter or of the injection. It occurs for the most part in younger patients whose renal arteries are otherwise normal.

Amphiphilic sulfonated chitosan nanoparticles buffer endo/lysosomal acidity in microglia by limiting V‐ATPase membrane recruitment and restoring endosomal homeostasis. Following systemic administration, they accumulate in the ischemic hemisphere partly through association with infiltrating immune cells, suppress TLR3/IRF3 and TLR4/NF‐κB signaling ...

THSD7A Exacerbates Atherosclerosis via Activation of Signaling Axis αvβ3/CEBPD/IL1A
THSD7A exerts pro‐inflammatory effects and exacerbates atherosclerosis. Mechanistically, THSD7A regulates endothelial cell inflammation and atherosclerosis by activating the αvβ3/CEBPD/IL1A signaling axis. THSD7A is not only a genetic marker but also a potential therapeutic target for coronary artery disease (CAD).

The Existence of Accessory Renal Arteries in a Male Cadaver in Ethiopia: A Case Report
Renal arteries that supply each kidney arise from the abdominal aorta and enter the renal hilum. Following the dissection of ten male cadavers at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia, we identified an anatomical variation of multiple renal arteries in a ...

Integrative multi‐cohort analyses identify 14‐3‐3γ as a biomarker and regulator of cognitive vulnerability. Experimental studies show that 14‐3‐3γ loss is associated with Tau Thr205 phosphorylation, synaptic dysfunction, and cognitive impairment, while genetic overexpression or pharmacological stabilization of 14‐3‐3γ confers protective effects in ...

Renal artery dissections are stenotic or occlusive lesions most often observed in hypertensive patients with underlying atherosclerosis or fibromuscular disease. Acute dissections may present spontaneously, as a complication of diagnostic or therapeutic angiography or as an agonal event associated with overwhelming systemic illness. Chronic dissections

A patient with classical polyarteritis nodosa evolving into end stage renal failure
Classical polyarteritis nodosa (c-PAN) is a form of systemic necrotizing vasculitis mainly affecting medium-size arteries, is not associated with renal glomerular disease and acute renal failure. Perirenal hematoma can be seen in up to fifty percent of c-
