ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Unraveling the role of natriuretic peptide clearance receptor (NPR3) in glomerular diseases
Natriuretic peptides (NPs) are cardio-derived hormones that have a crucial role in maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis. Physiological effects of NPs are mediated by binding to natriuretic peptide receptors 1 and 2 (NPR1/2), whereas natriuretic peptide

IntroductionHyperplasia of the mesangial area is common in IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and diabetic nephropathy (DN), and it is often difficult to distinguish them by light microscopy alone, especially in the absence of clinical data.

A prospective randomized trial of FK506-based immunosuppression after renal transplantation [PDF]
A group of 204 adult patients was entered into a prospective, randomized trial comparing FK506/pred-nisone with FK506/azathioprine/prednisone after renal transplantation between August 1, 1991 and October 11,1992.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Chromosome 9p deletion in clear cell renal cell carcinoma predicts recurrence and survival following surgery [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Wider clinical applications of 9p status in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) are limited owing to the lack of validation and consensus for interphase fluorescent in situ hybridisation (I-FISH) scoring technique.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Transitional cell carcinoma of suspected ureteral origin, with intra-abdominal and distant metastases in two horses [PDF]
The present paper describes two cases of suspected urothelial carcinomas with local lymphatic metastases, and distant metastases in the lungs. In one case, liver metastases were also present.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.
