Renal Tumors

2006
The treatment of RCC is rapidly changing. The introduction of minimally invasive thermal ablation techniques offers a safe and accurate alternative to open surgery in the treatment of renal tumors. Because of its technical benefits, percutaneous radiofrequency ablation took the lead among these minimally invasive techniques.

Neonatal Renal Tumors

Clinics in Perinatology, 2021
Renal tumors are rare in the neonatal period. Although some may be detected prenatally, a greater proportion present after birth, most often with a palpable abdominal mass with or without other associated symptoms. Cross-sectional imaging is typically followed by radical nephrectomy to make a specific histologic diagnosis to determine the need for ...

Renal tumor ablation

Current Opinion in Urology, 2005
The management of small renal tumors is changing from radical nephrectomy to nephron-conserving surgery. The aim of this review is to discuss the currently prevailing methods used for nonextirpative renal tumor ablation. The studies published in English during 2004 to May 2005 have been reviewed in this article.Of the various ablation techniques ...

Neonatal renal tumors

Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1970
Abstract Four cases of renal tumor in neonates with 24 other cases from the literature are reviewed from the point of view of treatment, prognosis, and morphology. All but one of the four deaths in these 28 children were due to chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and we agree with the previously expressed opinion that surgical removal without chemotherapy ...

Renal Angiomyoadenomatoid Tumor

Urology, 2011
Renal angiomyoadenomatoid tumor is a distinct pathologic entity that can mimic clear cell renal adenocarcinoma in presentation. The nature and behavior of these tumors are not well understood, and they require long-term follow-up to clarify their neoplastic potential.

Renal angiomyoadenomatous tumor

Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2012
We report a case of a 40-year-old woman with renal angiomyoadenomatous tumor, a rare neoplasm with only 6 previous cases reported in the literature. Unlike our case, most tumors have been identified in middle-aged males; they present as well-circumscribed, encapsulated tan-brown masses with variably prominent cystic areas.

Pediatric renal tumors

Seminars in Surgical Oncology, 1999
A broad spectrum of renal tumors occurs in infants and children ranging from the benign cystic nephroma to the extremely aggressive malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney. A thorough understanding of these tumors is crucial to the optimal diagnosis and management of children with renal masses.

Renal Pelvic Tumors

Journal of Urology, 1975
A study was made of 35 patients with tumors of the renal pelvis. Tumors were indipendently graded and staged by a newly proposed method. The method of staging correlated well with grading of renal pelvic tumors and bore a direct relationship with prognosis.

Renal Tumor Ablation

Techniques in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, 2013
Percutaneous, image-guided ablation for renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is an important treatment option for many patients. With more than 60,000 new cases every year and nearly three-fourths of those presenting as stage 1A, minimally invasive, nephron-sparing therapies have become the standard of care. Stage 1 A (

Benign renal angiomyoadenomatous tumor: A previously unreported renal tumor

Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2000
We describe a unique benign tumor of the kidney in a 93-year-old man. Microscopically the tumor was composed of an intimate intermixture of epithelial component and smooth muscle tissue, which formed the stroma of the tumor. In some parts the epithelial cells in adenomatous tubular formations were endowed with clear snouts.
