A Novel Method for Screening the PMU Phase Angle Difference Data Based on Hyperplane Clustering

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Compared with the traditional supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) data, phasor measurement unit (PMU) data is characterized by phase angle measurement and high reporting speed (perhaps 100 Hz).

Dynamic In‐Plane Heterogeneous and Inverted Response of Graphite to Fast Charging and Discharging Conditions in Lithium‐Ion Pouch Cells

open access: yesSmall Science, 2023
Solutions for improving fast charging of lithium‐ion batteries have largely focused on alleviating through‐plane lithiation gradients while little is understood about in‐plane heterogeneities and how to resolve them.

Mechanisms of Degradation in Li‐Ion Batteries Under Low Temperature Exposures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐temperature exposures, or freeze‐thaw cycles, are observed to significantly accelerate the degradation of Li‐ion batteries. A combination of electrolyte phase separation and mechanochemical stress leads to reversible and irreversible performance losses.

Charge‐Tunable Coacervate Micelles for Separator Engineering in Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A separator engineering strategy based on charge‐tunable complex coacervate core micelles (C3Ms) is presented to form an ion‐selective layer regulating polysulfide transport in Li–S batteries. The micelles enable uniform adsorption onto commercial polypropylene separators and infiltration throughout the internal pore network, suppressing polysulfide ...

Interaction energy-based power coupling oscillation analysis and suppression of grid-forming converter connected system

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The power coupling effect of the grid-forming converter will cause instability oscillation when it connects to low-voltage short-distance transmission lines. To solve this problem, this paper presents an energy interaction analysis method for oscillation

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.
