Interfacial electrostatic repulsion inhibits iodide ion migration for enhancing reverse-bias stability of perovskite solar cells

open access: yesNature Communications
The perovskite solar cells (PSCs) achieve notable advances in stability under humidity, light, and heat stress. However, PSCs are still susceptible to reverse-bias degradation, mainly due to the inevitable iodide ions migration.

Carbon Nanotubes Modified by Venturello Complex as Highly Efficient Catalysts for Alkene and Thioethers Oxidation With Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2019
In this work, we elaborated heterogeneous catalysts on the basis of the Venturello complex [PO4{WO(O2)2}4]3− (PW4) and nitrogen-free or nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes (CNTs or N-CNTs) for epoxidation of alkenes and sulfoxidation of thioethers with ...

2D Co‐Mo‐Hydroxide‐Based Multifunctional Material for the Development of H2‐Based Clean Energy Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
2D α‐Co(OH)2 interleaved with Mo species displays an appealing dual functionality for the production and use of green hydrogen.Mo incorporation greatly benefits the electrochemical behaviour in Oxygen Evolution Reaction for H2 production, while the magnetocaloric response at liquid H2 temperature paves the way for alternative cryogenic refrigerants ...

POM‐Based Water Splitting Catalyst Under Acid Conditions Driven by Its Assembly on Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A newly‐engineered POM‐based electrocatalyst incorporating non‐innocent counter cations exhibits fast kinetics for either the OER or HER under strongly acidic conditions (1 m H2SO4), depending on whether it is assembled on carbon nanotubes (1@CNT) or physically mixed with them (1/CNT). In water‐splitting tests using a two‐electrode setup, these systems

Inhibiting perovskite decomposition by a creeper-inspired strategy enables efficient and stable perovskite solar cells

open access: yesNature Communications
The commercialization of perovskite solar cells is badly limited by stability, an issue determined mainly by perovskite. Herein, inspired by a natural creeper that can cover the walls through suckers, we adopt polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride as ...

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Ammonium Salts as Curing Agents to Obtain Ionic Epoxy Resins With a Thermoplastic‐to‐Thermoset Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic epoxy networks are prepared using ammonium salts as hardeners, leading to a two‐stage curing process with a thermoplastic‐like intermediate. This uncommon behavior enables extrusion and fabrication of thermoplastic prepregs that can be cured into thermoset composites.
