QTL Underlying Reniform Nematode Resistance in Soybean Cultivar Hartwig

open access: yesAtlas Journal of Biology, 2016
Nematodes are one of the most destructive plant-parasitic pests in soybeans [Glycine max (L.) Merrill]. Among the nematodes, soybean cyst nematode (SCN, Heterodera glycines Ichinohe), southern root-knot nematode [RKN, Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White) Chitwood], and reniform nematode (RN, Rotylenchlus reniformis Linford and Oliveria) are often ...

Soybean cyst nematode culture collections and field populations from North Carolina and Missouri reveal high incidences of infection by viruses.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Five viruses were previously discovered infecting soybean cyst nematodes (SCN; Heterodera glycines) from greenhouse cultures maintained in Illinois. In this study, the five viruses [ScNV, ScPV, ScRV, ScTV, and SbCNV-5] were detected within SCN greenhouse

Resistance to the reniform nematode in selected soybean cultivars and germplasm lines.

open access: yesJournal of nematology, 2011
Reproduction indices from multiple tests were conducted to show the suitability of several soybean cultivars and germplasm lines as hosts of the reniform nematode Rotylenchulus reniformis. Sixteen soybean germplasm lines of 45 reported as resistant to soybean cyst nematode were also resistant to reinform nematode.
