In many cases the descending part of the renogram, normally a smooth concave curve, is distorted by irregularities (Winter, 1963; Harvey and Keeling, 1969; Britton and Brown, 1971). relate these irregularities to slight and transient renal ischaemia, causing a transient reduction in urine flow in the kidney, with relatively large increases in Hippuran ...

Gynecologic applications of the radioisotope renogram
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1962Abstract Clinical applications of the radioisotope renogram as related to gynecologic procedures have been discussed and representative case histories have been presented. These applications include evaluation of patients with pre- and postoperative ureteral involvement and/or injury secondary to benign gynecologic disease, evaluation and management

The radioisotope renogram in carcinoma of the cervix
The British Journal of Radiology, 1971Abstract One hundred and forty-three patients with carcinoma of the cervix of the uterus were studied prospectively. All had pretreatment, intravenous pyelograms and radioisotope renograms. The results of the investigations have been compared and their relationship to the prognosis in the disease is shown.

The radioisotope renogram in normal subjects
The American Journal of Medicine, 1963Abstract The alterations in the contour of the I 131 -hippuran renogram recorded in normal subjects under conditions of varying rates of urine flow, PAH loading, position changes and ureteral obstruction are described. In addition, patients with a unilateral non-functioning kidney or nephrectomy were studied after the administration of I 131 -hippuran

Theoretical study of radiohippuran renogram
The International Journal of Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1964Abstract A theoretical analysis of the simplified radiohippuran kinetics in organism, with regard to the radiohippuran renogram evaluation, is presented. The biological processes are characterized by rate coefficients. The theoretical influence of main processes, which are involved in the kinetics, was shown on the form of radiohippuran renogram.

Critical Appraisal of the Renogram in Renal Vascular Diseas Renogram
JAMA, 1962Sixty-four patients with suspected renal hypertension were studied with I 131 sodium o-iodohippurate (Hippuran) renograms, retrograde ureteral catherization studies and arteriograms; occlusive renal vascular disease was found at operation in 20 patients.

To determine whether interpretations of radioisotope renograms by qualitative visual inspection were reproducible, a total of 60 randomly assembled renograms, including those of 13 patients with proved unilateral renal hypertension, were subjected to reinterpretation by the initial observer.

The use of the radioactive renogram in the reticuloses
The British Journal of Radiology, 1969Abstract The reticuloses often spread to involve the kidneys and ureters and the degree of involvement and the response to treatment can be followed by the 131I-Hippuran renogram. This test should be used in conjunction with standard radiological methods.

Quantitative Approach to the I131 Renogram
JAMA - Journal of the American Medical Association, 1963Radioactive isotope renography has been a useful clinical procedure but, with only qualitative interpretation of the renogram, it is subject to diagnostic error. A statistical analysis of an approach to quantitation using the criteria of T max and T ½ has been performed.
