On the deep‐water and shallow‐water limits of the intermediate long wave equation from a statistical viewpoint

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract We study convergence problems for the intermediate long wave (ILW) equation, with the depth parameter δ>0$\delta > 0$, in the deep‐water limit (δ→∞$\delta \rightarrow \infty$) and the shallow‐water limit (δ→0$\delta \rightarrow 0$) from a statistical point of view.

The Speed of Interplanetary Shocks Through the Magnetosheath: A Toy Model

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 7, 16 April 2025.
Abstract Before interacting with the magnetosphere, an interplanetary shock travels through the magnetosheath where its speed and shape are modified. Previous studies have reported widely different answers to the question of the speed of an interplanetary shock in the magnetosheath. Observational studies generally answer this question “macroscopically”,

Coherent Phonons, Localization, and Slow Polaron Formation in Lead‐Free Gold Perovskite

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 10, April 4, 2025.
Using ultrafast optical and Raman spectroscopy with bandstructure calculations, coupled electronic and vibrational dynamics are explained in Cesium Gold Bromide, a promising lead‐free perovskite. Photoexcitation is strongly coupled to Au─Br stretching phonon modes. Lattice relaxation along these modes leads to a polaronic state.
