USE OF GDRH TO IMPROVE ONCEPTION RA TE IN REPEA T BREEDER BUFFALOES DURING THE LOW BREEDING SEASON

open access: yesPakistan Veterinary Journal, 2002
Twenty one repeat breeder Nili-Ravi buffaloes were randomly divided into three groups (n~7 each) A, B and C on the basis of treatment schedule. Group A received 2 ml Oalmarelin injection (GnRH synthetic analogue) IM at the time of insemination, group B ...

ASSESSMENT OF NUCLEAR MATURATION AND OOCYTE VIABILITY IN NORMAL AND REPEAT BREEDER CROSSBRED COWS BY USING FLUORESCENT STAINING [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, 2018
The study was carried out in 12 normal and 12 repeat breeder crossbred cows. These cows were further divided into four groups of six animals in each group.

Intracellular Aβ42 Sequestration by a Serine Protease Mitigates Neurotoxicity in a Drosophila Alzheimer's Disease Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Emerging evidence suggests that intraneuronal Aβ accumulation represents an early pathogenic event in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Using Drosophila AD model, this study shows that a nonsecreted serine protease Yip7 physically interacts with Aβ. This causes intraneuronal Aβ accumulation but surprisingly reduces the associated neurotoxicity, arguing that ...

Present Status of the Repeat-Breeder Cow Problem

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1961
Summary A repeat-breeder is defined as a clinically normal cow which, other factors being optimal, shows a reduced probability of conception. Both fertilization failure and embryonic loss are major causes of repeat-breeding. Much of the embryonic loss occurs between Days 16 and 25 after breeding.

A Functionally Conserved Enhancer is Critical for PGC1A Expression and Thermogenesis in Brown Fat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An evolutionarily conserved enhancer controls PGC1A expression and thermogenic activation in brown adipose tissue. Integrative multi‐omics analyses identify two BAT‐specific enhancers, with PGC1A‐En1 functioning as the dominant regulatory element that maintains thermogenic capacity across species.

Identification of A p300–SP1–BRD4 Transcriptional Axis as a Key Driver of AR Hyperactivation in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a pivotal epigenetic regulatory role for the histone acetyltransferase p300, demonstrating that its acetylation of histone 3 at lysine 18 and 27 (H3K18ac and H3K27ac), alongside the formation of the p300/BRD4/SP1 complex, drives AR activation and ovarian fibrosis in PCOS.

The Transcription Factor FgSge1 Harnesses the SAGA Complex to Activate Mycotoxin Biosynthesis and Fungal Virulence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the molecular mechanism by which the transcription factor FgSge1 regulates mycotoxin biosynthesis and virulence in Fusarium graminearum. FgSge1 binds to the TAARGTTT cis‐element, enabling self‐activation. It recruits the SAGA complex, promotes histone acetylation, and facilitates jet‐like chromatin remodeling, thereby activating ...
