Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

A Net Present Value Analysis of Opportunity-Based Age Replacement Models in Discrete Time
Two important opportunistic age replacement models, under replacement first and last disciplines, are generalized in discrete time. The net present value (NPV) is applied to formulate the expected total costs. The priority of multiple replacement options

Reinforcement Learning-Based Cache Replacement Policies for Multicore Processors
High-performance computing (HPC) systems need to handle ever-increasing data sizes for fast processing and quick response times. However, modern processors’ caches are unable to handle massive amounts of data, leading to significant cache miss ...

Adapting ACME to the database caching environment : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Information Systems at Massey University [PDF]
The field of database cache replacement has seen a great many replacement policies presented in the past few years. As the challenge to find the optimal replacement policy continues, new methods and techniques of determining cache victims have been ...

Sequential Nonparametric Age Replacement Policies
Consider an age replacement policy, by which a stochastically failing unit is replaced at failure or after being in service for t units of time, whichever comes first. The problem is to estimate sequentially the optimal replacement time \(\phi^*\) which minimizes the expected long-run average cost.

A Cache Model for Modern Processors [PDF]
Modern processors use high-performance cache replacement policies that outperform traditional alternatives like least-recently used (LRU). Unfortunately, current cache models use stack distances to predict LRU or its variants, and cannot capture these ...

Frailty Exacerbates Disability in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Background To evaluate frailty in severe progressive multiple sclerosis (PMS) and to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Methods This prospective, cross‐sectional, multicenter study enrolled a late severe PMS group requiring skilled nursing (n = 53) and an age, sex, and disease duration‐matched control PMS group (n = 53).
