State-coupled replicator dynamics

open access: yesInternational Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2009
This paper introduces a new model, i.e. state-coupled replicator dynamics, expanding the link between evolutionary game theory and multiagent reinforcement learning to multistate games. More precisely, it extends and improves previous work on piecewise replicator dynamics, a combination of replicators and piecewise models.

Time Average Replicator and Best-Reply Dynamics

open access: yesMathematics of Operations Research, 2009
International audienceUsing an explicit representation in terms of the logit map we show, in a unilateral framework, that the time average of the replicator dynamics is a perturbed solution of the best reply ...

Dynamic replication, an overview

Proceedings of the May 16-19, 1983, national computer conference on - AFIPS '83, 1983
Dynamic replication is a new technique for managing data in a distributed processing environment. It is a simple yet powerful scheme that addresses the major problems of distributing databases. This paper discusses dynamic replication and database distribution in three parts: First, several aspects of database distribution common to various techniques ...

Replicator Dynamics of Evolutionary Hypergames

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part A: Systems and Humans, 2004
In evolutionary game theory, the distribution of strategies in the population is changed according to payoffs which individuals earn depending on their selected strategies. However, to the best of our knowledge, individuals' perceptions in evolutionary games have been disregarded.

Replication Dynamics of the Yeast Genome

Science, 2001
Oligonucleotide microarrays were used to map the detailed topography of chromosome replication in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae . The times of replication of thousands of sites across the genome were determined by hybridizing replicated and unreplicated DNAs, isolated at ...

Dynamic Behavior of DNA Replication Domains

Experimental Cell Research, 1996
Like many nuclear processes, DNA replication takes place in distinct domains that are scattered throughout the S-phase nucleus. Recently we have developed a fluorescent double-labeling procedure that allows us to visualize nascent DNA simultaneously with "newborn" DNA that had replicated earlier in the same nucleus during the same S-phase.

Mutation Rate Evolution in Replicator Dynamics

Bulletin of Mathematical Biology, 2012
The mutation rate of an organism is itself evolvable. In stable environments, if faithful replication is costless, theory predicts that mutation rates will evolve to zero. However, positive mutation rates can evolve in novel or fluctuating environments, as analytical and empirical studies have shown.
