Similarity solutions for a replicator dynamics equation

Indiana University Mathematics Journal, 2008
We construct a family of self-similar solutions for a nonlinear degenerate parabolic equation containing a nonlocal term. This equation serves as a replicator dynamics model where the set of strategies is a continuum.

Lotka-Volterra equation and replicator dynamics: A two-dimensional classification

Biological Cybernetics, 1983
The replicator equation arises if one equips a certain game theoretical model for the evolution of behaviour in animal conflicts with dynamics. It serves to model many biological processes not only in sociobiology but also in population genetics, mathematical ecology and even in prebiotic evolution.

Energy Lyapunov function for generalized replicator equations

2003 IEEE International Workshop on Workload Characterization (IEEE Cat. No.03EX775), 2004
Replicator dynamics is an evolutionary strategy well established in different disciplines of biological sciences. It describes the evolution of self-reproducing entities called replicators in various independent models of, e.g., genetics, ecology, prebiotic evolution, and sociobiology.

Dynamic Selection Systems and Replicator Equations

2014
The dynamic replicator equation is inferred from a generalized Kolmogorov-type dynamic system that is called selection system. This way, both systems have the same dimension. The main result shows that the replicator equation is in a certain sense equivalent to a selection system of lower dimension.

A Survey of Replicator Equations

1984
This survey of the "state of the art" of replicator dynamics covers recent developments in the theory of the difference and differential equations which describe the evolution of population frequencies under the influence of selection. Mathematical models of this type play a central role in population genetics, ecology, prebiotic evolution and ethology.
