Permanence for Replicator Equations

1987
Many dynamical systems display strange attractors and hence orbits that are so sensitive to initial conditions as to make any long-term prediction (except on a statistical basis) a hopeless task. Such a lack of Ljapunov stability is not always crucial, however: Lagrange stability may be more relevant.

Analysis of a certain class of replicator equations

Journal of Mathematical Biology, 2006
Motivated by a problem in the evolution of sensory systems where gains obtained by improvements in detection are offset by increased costs, we prove several results about the dynamics of replicator equations with an n x n game matrix of the form: A( ij ) = a( i )b( j ) - c( i ).

Immune networks modeled by replicator equations

Journal of Mathematical Biology, 1994
In order to evaluate the role of idiotypic networks in the operation of the immune system a number of mathematical models have been formulated. Here we examine a class of B-cell models in which cell proliferation is governed by a non-negative, unimodal, symmetric response function f (h), where the field h summarizes the effect of the network on a ...

NUMERICAL SOLUTION FOR THE FRACTIONAL REPLICATOR EQUATION

International Journal of Modern Physics C, 2005
In this paper, we study the replicator equation for the hawk–dove (HD) and Prisoner's Dilemma (PD) games and generalized it to the fractional differential equation.

Lotka-Volterra equation and replicator dynamics: A two-dimensional classification

Biological Cybernetics, 1983
The replicator equation arises if one equips a certain game theoretical model for the evolution of behaviour in animal conflicts with dynamics. It serves to model many biological processes not only in sociobiology but also in population genetics, mathematical ecology and even in prebiotic evolution.

Replicator Equation and the Evolution of Cooperation on Regular Communities

2017
Evolutionary graph theory studies evolutionary dynamics of a population which interactions are constrained by a graph structure. The replicator equation is one of the fundamental tools to study frequency-dependent selection in absence of mutations, this work provides the replicator equation for a specific family of graphs, characterized by connected ...
