Algebras with representable representations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 2021
AbstractJust like group actions are represented by group automorphisms, Lie algebra actions are represented by derivations: up to isomorphism, a split extension of a Lie algebra $B$ by a Lie algebra $X$ corresponds to a Lie algebra morphism $B\to {\mathit {Der}}(X)$ from $B$ to the Lie algebra ${\mathit {Der}}(X)$ of derivations on $X$. In this article,

On the spinor representation [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2017
A systematic study of the spinor representation by means of the fermionic physical space is accomplished and implemented. The spinor representation space is shown to be constrained by the Fierz-Pauli-Kofink identities among the spinor bilinear covariants. A robust geometric and topological structure can be manifested from the spinor space, wherein, for

Representability in supergeometry [PDF]

open access: yesExpositiones Mathematicae, 2017
In this paper we use the notion of Grothendieck topology to present a unified way to approach representability in supergeometry, which applies to both the differential and algebraic settings.

Practical Representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This chapter discusses recent attempts to clarify the notion of practical representation and its theoretical fruitfulness. The ultimate goal is not just to show that intellectualists are on good grounds when they appeal to practical representation in ...

On tempered representations

open access: yesJournal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik (Crelles Journal), 2022
Abstract Let G be a unimodular locally compact group. We define a property of irreducible unitary G-representations V which we call c-temperedness, and which for the trivial V boils down to Følner’s condition (equivalent to the trivial V being tempered, i.e. to G being amenable).

Representation growth and representation zeta functions of groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We give a short introduction to the subject of representation growth and representation zeta functions of groups, omitting all proofs. Our focus is on results which are relevant to the study of arithmetic groups in semisimple algebraic groups, such as ...

Embedding Multi-Task Address-Event- Representation Computation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Address-Event-Representation, AER, is a communication protocol that is intended to transfer neuronal spikes between bioinspired chips. There are several AER tools to help to develop and test AER based systems, which may consist of a hierarchical ...

Combinatorial representations

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A, 2013
This paper introduces combinatorial representations, which generalise the notion of linear representations of matroids. We show that any family of subsets of the same cardinality has a combinatorial representation via matrices. We then prove that any graph is representable over all alphabets of size larger than some number depending on the graph.
