ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

A new characterization of the exceptional Lie algebras [PDF]
For a simple Lie algebra, over $\mathbb{C}$, we consider the weight which is the sum of all simple roots and denote it $\tilde{\alpha}$. We formally use Kostant's weight multiplicity formula to compute the "dimension" of the zero-weight space.

n-representation-finite algebras and twisted fractionally Calabi-Yau algebras
In this short paper, we study $n$-representation-finite algebras from the viewpoint of the fractionally Calabi-Yau property. We shall show that all $n$-representation-finite algebras are twisted fractionally Calabi-Yau. We also show that for any $\ell>0$,

Compact Representation of Value Function in Partially Observable Stochastic Games
Value methods for solving stochastic games with partial observability model the uncertainty about states of the game as a probability distribution over possible states. The dimension of this belief space is the number of states.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
