Congruences, equational theories and lattice representations
Periodica Mathematica Hungarica, 1996This paper is an interesting survey, concerning the representation of lattices as lattices of congruences and as lattices of equational theories. For an algebra \(A\), \(\text{Con}(A)\) is the lattice of congruence relations, \(\text{Eq}(A)\) the lattice of equivalence relations on \(A\).

Boson representation and bound states in lattice gauge theory
Physical Review D, 1982We study the spectrum and the scattering processes of glueball excitations of U(1) lattice gauge theory in 2+1 dimensions. To get a glueball description we rewrite the Hamiltonian successively by introducing several sets of variables, such as fermionic loop fields, canonical boson fields, and composite fields.

SU(2) LATTICE GAUGE THEORY IN THE ELECTRIC-FIELD REPRESENTATION
International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1988Hamiltonian SU(2) lattice gauge theory is formulated in an orthonormal and complete set of gauge-invariant eigenstates of the color-electric energy (electric-field basis). For a three-dimensional cubic lattice of linear extension L, these states are labeled by 6L3 quantum numbers: one gauge angular momentum for every link and three additional angular ...

Lattice gauge theory with Higgs matter field in the adjoint representation
Physical Review D, 1984The gauge Higgs-field system is studied both in the mean-field approximation and with a Monte Carlo simulation. We compare our results to those obtained by other authors and we comment on the relevance of these results to the problem of the finite-temperature deconfinement in pure gauge theory.

Symbolic manipulation of loops and lattice gauge theory in the loop representation
Computer Physics Communications, 1992Abstract The symbolic manipulation techniques, necessary to push the calculation of observables in the loop representation to higher order is discussed. Z(2) gauge theory in the loop representation is used to show how this techniques can be implemented in a concrete model.

The microscopic quantum-mechanical expressions for the dielectric screening matrix and for the electronic contribution to lattice dynamics are derived in terms of generalized Wannier functions. The Wannier representation makes practical an inversion of the dielectric matrix within the random-phase approximation and thus allows for an explicit ...

Solvable lattice model and representation theory of quantum affine algebras
1998The paper is an excellent review of some recent developments of solvable lattice models in connection with representation theory of the quantum affine algebras. The following topics are considered. In Sec. 1 the \(XYZ\) model as an example of a solvable system of infinite degrees of freedom is considered.
