Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

NoRC, a novel chromatin remodeling complex involved in ribosomal RNA gene silencing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Regulation of gene expression takes place in the nucleus in a highly structured and condensed nucleoprotein environment, called chromatin (Felsenfeld and Groudine, 2003; Khorasanizadeh, 2004; Vaquero et al., 2003).

Structural basis for the assembly of the SMRT/NCoR core transcriptional repression machinery

open access: yes, 2011
Eukaryotic transcriptional repressors function by recruiting large coregulatory complexes that target histone deacetylase enzymes to gene promoters and enhancers.

Anarquistas de Ayer y de Hoy. De la identitad antifascista en la guerra civil española a la Memoria actual

open access: yesDiacronie. Studi di Storia Contemporanea, 2011
The article starts from the idea that there is a common aspect between today and yesterday anarchism, which is its direct opposition to the “voluntary servitude” and the claim of freedom against any kind of authority and tyranny. The transmission of this

Spatio-Temporal Regulation of Gibberellin Biosynthesis Contributes to Optimal Rhizome Bud Development

open access: yesRice
The perennial life cycle involves the reiterative development of sexual and asexual organs. Asexual structures such as rhizomes are found in various plant species, fostering extensive growth and competitive advantages.

β‐Adrenergic Signaling Promotes Anti‐Tumor Immunity in TP53‐mutant Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
β‐adrenergic stimulation enhances anti‐tumor immunity in TP53‐deficient oral squamous cell carcinoma by inducing tumor‐derived secretion of CXCL10, which attracts and activates cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. The findings demonstrate that β‐adrenergic signaling alters tumor–immune interactions via CXCL10‐mediated paracrine activation, revealing a neuro‐immune ...

Importance of the C-terminal domain of the human GW182 protein TNRC6C for translational repression.

open access: yes, 2009
Proteins of the GW182 family play an important role in the execution of microRNA repression in metazoa. They interact directly with Argonaute proteins, components of microRNPs, and also form part of P-bodies, structures implicated in translational ...

YB-1 regulates tiRNA-induced Stress Granule formation but not translational repression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Stress-induced angiogenin (ANG)-mediated tRNA cleavage promotes a cascade of cellular events that starts with production of tRNA-derived stress-induced RNAs (tiRNAs) and culminates with enhanced cell survival.

Cross Kingdom Metabolic Engineering Paradigm Elevating Sustainable Protein Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Confronting the dual crisis of escalating global protein demand and unsustainable agriculture necessitates transformative solutions. Here, we pioneer evolutionary insights from maize nitrogen optimization via asparagine synthetase (ASNS) to rewire metabolism in Pichia pastoris.

The role of polyhomeotic in polycomb group-mediated regulation of the tumour suppressor P16INK4A

open access: yes, 2010
The INK4A tumour suppressor gene is negatively regulated by the Polycomb Group (PcG) complexes, which plays an important role in stem cell- and cancer biology.
