Vitrimers form a promising class of dynamic polymer networks, but they have an Achilles’ heel: elastomeric vitrimers exhibit significant creep under conditions where permanently cross-linked, elastomeric networks exhibit little or no creep.

Reprocessing the Bronchoscope: The Challenges
Seminars in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 2004Spread of infection through the flexible bronchoscope is underrecognized and underreported. Prevention of bronchoscopy-induced infection requires increased vigilance by the physician, assiduous implementation of reprocessing protocols, and closer collaboration between bronchoscopy personnel, infection control practitioners, and instrument manufacturers.

Challenges in achieving effective high-level disinfection in endoscope reprocessing.
American Journal of Infection Control, 2020Endoscope reprocessing is often ineffective, and microbes frequently remain on endoscopes after the use of high-level disinfectants (HLDs). Several factors impact reprocessing effectiveness, including non-adherence to guidelines, use of damaged ...

Dialyser Reprocessing with Renalin®
American Journal of Nephrology, 2008We evaluated the dialyser reprocessing agent Renalin® in a 6-month prospective study of 2,759 dialyses on 59 patients. Dialysers were withdrawn after a maximum of 6 uses, and the average number of uses achieved was 4.5. Dialyser survival varied with the type of dialyser but was unaffected by the dialysate base.

Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes
Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2000Abstract Proper reprocessing of endoscopes prevents the risk of transmission of infection between patients. Meticulous mechanical cleaning is the most important step as it removes the majority of the contaminating bacteria. It should be performed before manual or automatic disinfection.
