Ammonium Salts as Curing Agents to Obtain Ionic Epoxy Resins With a Thermoplastic‐to‐Thermoset Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic epoxy networks are prepared using ammonium salts as hardeners, leading to a two‐stage curing process with a thermoplastic‐like intermediate. This uncommon behavior enables extrusion and fabrication of thermoplastic prepregs that can be cured into thermoset composites.

RGO-Pt as an effective catalyst for U(IV) generation under hydrogen

open access: yesScientific Reports
Effective generation of U(IV) from U(VI) is a key step to achieve the partitioning of Pu from U in a spent nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. Reduction under a hydrogen atmosphere is one of the methods for the generation of U(IV) from U(VI) in the presence

Galinstan Liquid Metal/Polyurethane Composite as a Multifunctional Stretchable Electrode and Piezoresistive Strain Sensor With Minimal Drift

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Liquid metal additives are processed in elastomer host resulting in highly conductive and stretchable composites. The material functions as a piezoresistive sensor with minimal drift, low stiffness, and enhanced operating range. The film can replace wires to charge a mobile phone at ∼350% strain and monitors bodily motion in real‐time via a portable ...
