A reproducing kernel method with nodal interpolation property

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2003
AbstractA general formulation for developing reproducing kernel (RK) interpolation is presented. This is based on the coupling of a primitive function and an enrichment function. The primitive function introduces discrete Kronecker delta properties, while the enrichment function constitutes reproducing conditions.

Overview and applications of the reproducing Kernel Particle methods

Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering, 1996
Multiple-scale Kernel Particle methods are proposed as an alternative and/or enhancement to commonly used numerical methods such as finite element methods. The elimination of a mesh, combined with the properties of window functions, makes a particle method suitable for problems with large deformations, high gradients, and high modal density.

Multiresolution Reproducing Kernel Particle Methods in Acoustics

Journal of Computational Acoustics, 1997
In the analysis of complex phenomena of acoustic systems, the computational modeling requires special attention in order to give a realistic representation of the physics. As a powerful tool, the finite element method has been widely used in the study of complex systems. In order to capture the important physical phenomena, p-finite elements and/or hp-

Reproducing Kernel Methods for Machine Learning, PDEs, and Statistics

This monograph develops a unified, application-driven framework for kernel methods grounded in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces (RKHS) and optimal transport (OT). Part I lays the theoretical and numerical foundations on positive-definite kernels; discrete and continuous RKHS; kernel engineering and scaling maps; error assessment via kernel discrepancy/

Some Studies of the Reproducing Kernel Particle Method

2003
Interests in meshfree (or meshless) methods have grown rapidly in the recent years in solving boundary value problems arising in mechanics, especially in dealing with difficult problems involving large deformation, moving discontinuities, etc. Rigorous error estimates of a meshfree method, the reproducing kernel particle method (RKPM), have been ...
