Climate Change Threatens Micronutrient Density of European Winter Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micronutrients are vital for human health. Wheat is a major staple crop and a significant source of minerals and B‐vitamins. The impact of climate change on their content remains largely unknown. We evaluated micronutrient levels in European winter wheat grown under historical and projected climate conditions. Our findings indicate that future climates

Locally linear approximation for Kernel methods : the Railway Kernel [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we present a new kernel, the Railway Kernel, that works properly for general (nonlinear) classification problems, with the interesting property that acts locally as a linear kernel. In this way, we avoid potential problems due to the use of

Positive definite Hermitian matrices and reproducing kernels

open access: yes, 1982
Some quadratic identities associated with positive definite Hermitian matrices are derived by use of the theory of reproducing kernels. For example, the following identity is obtained: Let{Aj}mj=1 be N × N positive definite Hermitian matrices.

Reproducing kernels of harmonic Besov spaces on the ball [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Besov spaces of harmonic functions on the unit ball of Rn are defined by requiring sufficiently high-order derivatives of functions lie in harmonic Bergman spaces. We compute the reproducing kernels of those Besov spaces that are Hilbert spaces.

Causal Prediction of TP53 Variant Pathogenicity Using a Perturbation‐Informed Protein Language Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A TP53‐specific predictor, CaVepP53, is developed by fine‐tuning ESMC on experimentally validated variants, quantifying pathogenicity via Euclidean distances. It outperforms general‐purpose models and extends to five cancer genes, enabling interpretable variant classification for precision medicine.

Unsupervised Domain Adaptation by Mapped Correlation Alignment

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The goal of unsupervised domain adaptation aims to utilize labeled data from source domain to annotate the target-domain data, which has none of the labels.

Representation by Integrating Reproducing Kernels

open access: yes, 2012
Based on direct integrals, a framework allowing to integrate a parametrised family of re-producing kernels with respect to some measure on the parameter space is developed.

Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

A Bioinspired Three‐Dimensional High‐Curvature Nano‐Interface Integrated Microfluidic Chip for Small Extracellular Vesicles Enrichment and Machine Learning‐Assisted Prostate Cancer Precision Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biotin‐modified artificial insertion peptide functionalized three‐dimensional high‐curvature‐TiO2 nano‐interface was engineered in a microfluidic chip to improve the isolation efficiency of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs). This chip balanced affinity, releasability, and extendibility, enabling high‐throughput recovery of sEVs for downstream ...

Reproducing Kernels for Visual Surface Interpolation.

open access: yes, 1985
We examine the details of two related methods for the recovery of virtual surfaces from space depth data. The methods use the reproducing kernels of Hilbert spaces to construct a spline interpolating the data. such that this spline is of minimal norm. We
