VARIETAL DIFFERENTIATION OF MALTS BY RESAZURIN STAINING

Journal of the Institute of Brewing, 1986
A staining procedure for discrimination of Winter and Spring malted barleys was established by use of Redox indicator resazurin. Three representative European Winter cultivars, Plaisant, Gerbel and Sonja, were clearly differentiated from the Spring varieties, Carina, Europa, Aura, Atem, Kym, Triumph, Menuet, Aramir, Chevalieri and other varieties ...

Resazurin reduction in milk

2011
Methods were developed to quantitatively measure resazurin reduction and the reducing capacity of milk. The method for resazurin determination involved butanol extraction of the dye from milk and measurement of the optical density of extracts at 582 mμ and 615 mμ after saturation with sodium bicarbonate; that for reducing capacity was based on reaction

Raman and fluorescence spectroelectrochemical monitoring of resazurin-resorufin fluorogenic system

, 2020
Raman and fluorescence spectroelectrochemistry techniques have been used for the in-situ study of the reaction mechanism of resazurin/resorufin/dihydroresorufin system.

Adsorption of resazurin by poly(acrylic acid) hydrogels and evaluation of its use in reduction assay for quantification of cell viability

, 2020
Resazurin is a nonfluorescent blue dye which is reduced to a fluorescent pink resorufin via enzymatic activity of living cells. Therefore, a resazurin reduction-based assay serves as an effective method for evaluating cell viability.

Voltammetry of resazurin at a mercury electrode

Chemical Papers, 2010
AbstractElectrochemical behavior of resazurin on HMDE in Britton-Robinson (B-R) buffers (pH 2.0–10.0) was studied using the square-wave voltammetry (SWV), square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV), and cyclic voltammetry (CV) techniques. The voltammogram of resazurin in B-R buffer at pH < 4.0 exhibited two cathodic reduction peaks.

Rhodamine 6G-Resazurin Energy Transfer Dye Laser

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1990
An efficient operation of mixed dye system of Rh 6G-Resazurin of various concentrations with different ratios is shown. The tuning range of 90 nm in the pump power of a N 2 laser of 50 kW is achieved.

An improved resazurin-based cytotoxicity assay for hepatic cells

Cell Biology and Toxicology, 2002
A simple resazurin-based cytotoxicity assay is presented for screening of cytotoxicity in hepatocytes and liver cell lines. Human hepatoma (HepG2) cells in 96-well culture plates were exposed to known toxic (cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, ethionine, flufenamic acid, and diflunisal) and control (transplatin, 5-chlorouracil, methionine, and acetylsalicylic ...

THE BEHAVIOUR OF RESAZURIN IN MILK

Canadian Journal of Research, 1942
The view that resazurin is not a satisfactory substitute for methylene blue in assessing the hygienic quality of milk has been examined.Resazurin is equally as sensitive as methylene blue to the metabolic activities of bacteria in milk. It is decidedly more sensitive to the presence of non-bacterial factors in abnormal milks (mastitis, late lactation,

Kinetic-spectrophotometric determination of sulfide by its reaction with resazurin

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 1996
A sensitive, rapid and selective method for the determination of sulfide based on its reaction with resazurin at pH 7 is described. The method is simple and has the great advantage of being free from interference of other sulfur anions and thus sulfide can be easily determined at trace levels in the presence of other sulfur compounds.
