This work developed an all‐aqueous freeze‐thaw strategy to create a dual‐conductive PVA/P3KBT binder for high volume‐change lithium–ion battery anodes. The resulting binder system strengthens the electrode structure, supports ion and electron transport, and accommodates repeated volume changes, reducing cracking and improving long‐term cycling ...

Productivity of Nations: a stochastic frontier approach to TFP decomposition [PDF]
This paper tackles the problem of aggregate TFP measurement using stochastic frontier analysis (SFA). Data from Penn World Table 6.1 are used to estimate a world production frontier for a sample of 75 countries over a long period (1950-2000) taking ...

Nonparametric Frontier Estimation from Noisy Data [PDF]
A new nonparametric estimator of production a frontier is defined and studied when the data set of production units is contaminated by measurement error. The measurement error is assumed to be an additive normal random variable on the input variable, but

Direct observation of intra-grain defect formation during local solid-phase epitaxy
Despite relentless efforts to improve fabrication processes, the achievement of a defect-free polycrystalline film (poly-film) through solid-phase crystallization (SPC) remains challenging, as evidenced by structural analyses.

HfxZr1−xO2${\rm Hf}_x{\rm Zr}_{1-x}{\rm O}_2$ offers CMOS‐compatible nanoscale ferroelectricity yet suffers from a high Ec${\rm E}_c$ demanding large operating voltages. A unified phase‐field framework spanning AFE/FE/DE phases shows how FE grains soften neighboring AFE grains over λ$\lambda$ ≈$\approx$ 22–37 nm.
