This work reports the in situ fabrication of Escherichia coli@covalent organic frameworks (E. coli@COFs) in phosphate‐buffered saline. The COFs form an exoskeleton on E. coli, protecting intracellular β‐glucosidase (Ssbgl) while enhancing mass transfer.

Light‐Controlled Conductive Molecular Wire in an Artificial Lipid Membrane
A photochromic azobenzene derivative is shown to produce a unique photoelectric response when embedded in artificial lipid membranes.
