One hundred nine men and 71 women with a mean age of 31 years had construction of 164 S, 2 J, and 14 other ileoanal reservoirs. Postoperative gastrointestinal complications included small bowel obstruction in 11 percent and ileus, hemorrhage, and sepsis in 6 percent, 5 percent, and 11 percent, respectively.

Key properties of hydrocarbon reservoirs are porosity and permeability. Porosity is the pore space, or voids, within a rock and generally filled with connate water, but contains oil or gas within a field. Porosity is generally expressed as a percentage of the rock. Connected porosity in a reservoir constitutes effective porosity.

Reservoir Characterization of Fractured Cambrian Reservoirs, Algeria
SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2005Abstract It has long been recognized that the faults in the Hassi Messaoud field are necessary for the successful production from the Cambrian sandstone reservoirs. What is less understood is the dual nature of these faults in that they can both control transmissibility through permeability enhancing fractures, and control trapping ...

EVOLUTION OF RESERVOIR SIMULATION FOR A LARGE CARBONATE RESERVOIR
Proceedings of Middle East Oil Show, 1989ABSTRACT Reservof-1 is a large carbonate reservoir that was discovered and developed in the 1940's. A brief description of the reservoir and major events of the field development are presented. A 2D areal model was constructed for the reservoir in the 1970's. The use and the shortcomings of the model are discussed.

Advanced Reservoir Modeling in Desorption-Controlled Reservoirs
SPE Rocky Mountain Petroleum Technology Conference, 2001Abstract Reservoir models typically utilized for desorption-controlled reservoirs such as coals and gas shales possess dual-porosity/single-permeability characteristics. In this case dual-porosity means that two in-situ locations exist that can be used for gas storage, adsorbed within the matrix and in the free form in the cleat system ...

Reservoir Fracture Characterization and Modeling in a Shuaiba Reservoir
International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2014Abstract Massive mud losses, well logging, seismic data together with observed conformance issues and significant variation in well performance suggest a well developed fracture system in a regional Shuaiba reservoir.

FORTESCUE RESERVOIR DEVELOPMENT AND RESERVOIR STUDIES
The APPEA Journal, 1985The Fortescue field in the Gippsland Basin, offshore southeastern Australia is being developed from two platforms (Fortescue A and Cobia A) by Esso Australia Ltd. (operator) and BHP Petroleum. The Fortescue reservoir is a stratigraphic trap at the top of the Latrobe Group of sediments. It overlies the western flank of the Halibut and Cobia fields and is

Geosteering in Thin Reservoirs for Maximum Reservoir Contact
IPTC 2008: International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2008This reference is for an abstract only. A full paper was not submitted for this conference. Abstract In the past, thin reservoirs (less than 30 ft.) were considered economically unattractive due to typical low production rates. The development of modern drilling and real time logging technologies have

Reservoir geochemistry — A reservoir engineering perspective
Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2007Abstract This paper reviews the applications of reservoir geochemistry from a reservoir engineering point of view. Some of the main tasks of reservoir engineering are discussed with an emphasis on the importance of appraising reservoirs in the pre-development stage.

Ekofisk Field - Reservoir characterization to reservoir monitoring on a giant chalk reservoir
Proceedings, 1996The Ekofisk field was discovered in 1969 by the Phillips Norway Group. Production started from Cretaceous-Damian chalks in 1971: Current estimates indicate nearly 8 billion BOE originally in place. The field has produced over 1.2 billion barrels to date from 160 wells with average daily oil production in excess of 200,000 barrels. A water-flood program
