Temperature‐Modulated Threshold Response in a Volatile Memristor: Toward a Biomimetic Polymodal Nociceptive System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an artificial polymodal nociceptor whose firing threshold is actively modulated by temperature. A volatile TiN/TiOx/ZnO/TiOx/ITO memristor shows interfacial ion–driven resistive switching and membrane‐potential‐like dynamics, enabling temperature‐dependent nociceptive behavior.

Reservoir Quality Assessment of Tight Gas Reservoirs - Links to Producibility

open access: yesFirst EAGE Workshop on Tight Gas Reservoirs 2009, 2009
Quantification of porosity types and sizes coupled with in-situ reservoir capillary pressure data allows one to estimate the potential hydrocarbon pore volume in a hydrocarbon transition zone. This data coupled with economic gas rate, production and reservoir quality data (such as sandstone compositional and textural trends on a field or basin scale ...

Randomness and isometries in echo state networks and compressed sensing

open access: yes, 2018
Although largely different concepts, echo state networks and compressed sensing models both rely on collections of random weights; as the reservoir dynamics for echo state networks, and the sensing coefficients in compressed sensing.

Electro‐Chemo‐Mechanical Coupling in Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 Ferroionic Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic of a ferroionic HZO heterostructure where epitaxial interfaces enable dynamic oxygen‐vacancy exchange, coupling ionic and ferroelectric degrees of freedom. Vacancy‐mediated polarization modulation biases HZO polymorphism, suppresses leakage, and enhances piezoelectric response, yielding distinct butterfly‐loop evolution and diode‐like ...

Petroleum geology of the Upper Jurassic – Lower Cretaceous of East and North-East Greenland: Blokelv-1 borehole, Jameson Land Basin: Sedimentology, geochemistry and reservoir properties of Upper Jurassic deep marine sediments (Hareelv Formation) in the Blokelv-1 borehole, Jameson Land Basin, East Greenland [PDF]

open access: yesGeological Survey of Denmark and Greenland Bulletin, 2018
The fully cored Blokelv-1 borehole was drilled through Upper Jurassic strata in the central part of the Jameson Land Basin, central East Greenland. The borehole reached a total depth of 233.8 m with nearly 100% recovery of high-quality core. An extensive

Indication of pollution in a teaching and research farm reservoir [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The production and productivity of a water body is largely dependent on its quality. One major source of water pollution is from the agrochemicals from nearby farmlands.

Sensorized Engineered Tissues with Built‐in Thermoregulation and Nutrient Supply

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a granular hydrogel‐based tissue engineering platform that includes a closed‐loop temperature control to maintain 37°C and sustainably releases nutrients, thereby enabling cells to retain a high viability even if stored at room temperature for up to 24 h.
