Sedimentation in Mangla Reservoir
Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1973A method for predicting the rate of storage depletion by sedimentation and estimating the economic life of a reservoir is described. Delta formation and procedures for developing delta profiles using Colby’s charts are considered. The effect of reservoir regulation on sediment distribution and delta movement is illustrated.

Reservoir Sedimentation Challenges Kansas
Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science, 2016Kansas faces the challenge of reduced surface water storage in eastern Kansas caused by sedimentation of its reservoirs. The 24 federal reservoirs in Kansas have an average age of about 50 years and current estimates indicate that 17% of their collective storage capacity (originally 3.2M ac-ft.) has been lost to sedimentation.
