CPX‐351 in High‐Risk Relapsed Pediatric Acute Leukemia: Real‐World Phase 1 Data Establishing the FDA‐Approved Dose

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Outcomes for pediatric relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remain dismal. CPX‐351, a liposomal formulation of cytarabine and daunorubicin, may have less off‐target toxicities than traditional chemotherapies and has shown improved outcomes for adults with newly diagnosed therapy‐related AML.

Is the Bellman residual a bad proxy? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper aims at theoretically and empirically comparing two standard optimization criteria for Reinforcement Learning: i) maximization of the mean value and ii) minimization of the Bellman residual.

Degradation modeling applied to residual lifetime prediction using functional data analysis

open access: yes, 2011
Sensor-based degradation signals measure the accumulation of damage of an engineering system using sensor technology. Degradation signals can be used to estimate, for example, the distribution of the remaining life of partially degraded systems and/or ...

Incidence and Risk Factors of Serious Osteonecrosis in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A CYP‐C Population‐Based Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Osteonecrosis (ON) is a debilitating complication of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) therapy. While numerous studies have explored its incidence and associated risk factors, investigations using large‐scale cohorts remain important to characterize ON across heterogeneous populations.

Investigating the Dynamic Change and Driving Force of Vegetation Carbon Sink in Taihang Mountain, China

open access: yesLand
Vegetation plays an important role in absorbing carbon dioxide and accelerating the achievement of carbon neutrality. As the ecological barrier of North China, the Taihang Mountains are pivotal to the ecological construction project of China ...

On the Selection of Calculable Residual Generators for UAV Fault Diagnosis

open access: yes, 2016
Structural Analysis is an established method for Fault Detection and Identification (FDI) in large-scale systems, enabling the discovery of Analytical Redundancy Relations (ARRs) which serve as residual generators.

Novel Genetic Risk Factor Identified for L‐Asparaginase‐Induced Pancreatitis in Pediatric Patients With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background L‐asparaginase is a critical component in treatment protocols for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute pancreatitis reactions can necessitate delays and, in some cases, discontinuation of L‐asparaginase, which compromises outcomes.

Time-Series Prediction of Failures in an Industrial Assembly Line Using Artificial Learning

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This study evaluates the efficacy of six artificial learning (AL) models—nonlinear autoregressive (NAR), long short-term memory (LSTM), adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), gated recurrent unit (GRU), multilayer perceptron (MLP), and CNN-RNN ...

Control of welding residual stress for dissimilar laser welded materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The most common problem of welding dissimilar metals (DMWs) with respect to residual stresses is the differences in the coefficient of thermal expansion and heat conductivity of the two welded metals.

Outcomes and Surgical Management of Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney: A Report From the Pediatric Surgical Oncology Research Collaborative

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney (MRTK) is a rare, aggressive tumor seen in young children. The optimal timing of resection for locally advanced tumors is not well‐defined. The purpose of this study is to evaluate modern oncologic outcomes and the impact of surgical timing. Methods A multicenter retrospective review was performed
