Effect of conservation agriculture on soil fungal diversity in rice-wheat-greengram cropping system in eastern Indo-Gangetic plains of South Asia

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
IntroductionConservation agriculture (CA) is emerging as an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to food production in South Asia. CA, characterized by reduced tillage, soil surface cover through retaining crop residue or raising cover crops, and crop ...

Pulmonary Dysfunction Is Associated With Sleep Study Abnormalities in Children With Sickle Cell Disease: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pulmonary dysfunction and sleep abnormalities are common in children with sickle cell disease (SCD) and are associated with worse clinical outcomes. Whether spirometry abnormalities are associated with polysomnography (PSG) findings remains unclear.

Effect of Different Residue Management Practices of Rice on Growth and Yield of Wheat and Soil Health in Rice-Wheat System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bio-Resource and Stress Management, 2016
The present experiment was conducted in rice-wheat sequence during 2007−08 and 2008−09 in Birsa Agricultural University Farm, Kanke, Ranchi to assess the effect of rice residue management on growth, yield attributes and yield of grain and straw of wheat

The Role of Non-Positional Arithmetic on Efficient Emerging Cryptographic Algorithms

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Number representation systems establish ways in which numbers are mapped to computer architectures, and how operations over the numbers are translated into computer instructions.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Feature selection in intrusion detection systems: a new hybrid fusion of Bat algorithm and Residue Number System

open access: yesJournal of Information and Telecommunication
This research introduces innovative approaches to enhance intrusion detection systems (IDSs) by addressing critical challenges in existing methods. Various machine-learning techniques, including nature-inspired metaheuristics, Bayesian algorithms, and ...

On Some Dynamical Systems in Finite Fields and Residue Rings

open access: yes, 2007
We use character sums to confirm several recent conjectures of V. I. Arnold on the uniformity of distribution properties of a certain dynamical system in a finite field. On the other hand, we show that some conjectures are wrong.

A Multi-layer Recursive Residue Number System [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2018
We present a method to increase the dynamical range of a Residue Number System (RNS) by adding virtual RNS layers on top of the original RNS, where the required modular arithmetic for a modulus on any non-bottom layer is implemented by means of an RNS Montgomery multiplication algorithm that uses the RNS on the layer below.

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours
