The political economy of deforestation in the Colombian Amazon

open access: yesJournal of Political Ecology
The Colombian Amazon has experienced rapid forest loss in the past decades due to growing colonization, infrastructure development, and commercial agriculture expansion. While much of the analyses of deforestation in the Amazon have been in Brazil, there

Single‐Step Synthesis of In‐plane 1T'‐2H Heterophase MoTe2 for Low‐Resistance Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single‐step CVD method is developed to synthesize seamless in‐plane 1T'‐2H MoTe2 heterophase junctions with precise phase control and uniform large‐area coverage. The resulting transistors, incorporating 1T' MoTe2 contacts and 2H MoTe2 channels, exhibit ultralow contact resistance, offering a scalable solution to the long‐standing challenge of ...

Steep‐Switching Memory FET for Noise‐Resistant Reservoir Computing System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate the steep‐switching memory FET with CuInP2S6/h‐BN/α‐In2Se3 heterostructure for application in noise‐resistant reservoir computing systems. The proposed device achieves steep switching characteristics (SSPGM = 19 mV/dec and SSERS = 23 mV/dec) through stabilization between CuInP2S6 and h‐BN.

Replication study on the role of dopamine-dependent prefrontal reactivations in human extinction memory retrieval

open access: yesNature Communications
Even after successful extinction, conditioned fear can return. Strengthening the consolidation of the fear-inhibitory safety memory formed during extinction is one way to counteract return of fear.

On‐Surface Indigo‐Based Bimolecular Coordination Networks with Programmable Regular or Vitreous Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

The role of self-care and self-compassion in networks of resilience and stress among healthcare professionals

open access: yesScientific Reports
Healthcare professionals (HCPs) are essential for maintaining our healthcare system but are at risk for developing mental health issues due to chronic occupational stress. This can lead to a vicious cycle with extended sick leave, increased workloads for
