Radiopacity of posterior composite resins, composite resin luting cements, and glass ionomer lining cements

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1993
The radiopacities of seven posterior composite resins, seven composite resin luting cements, and six glass ionomer lining cements were studied. The purpose was to obtain an indication of radiopacity values of different brands within each of these three groups of materials and to show differences in radiopacities of composite resin inlay materials and ...

Epoxy resin and ground tyre rubber replacement for cement in concrete: Compressive behaviour and durability properties

Construction and Building Materials, 2018
In this research, the compressive behavior of concrete mixtures incorporating epoxy resin with and without hardener and ground rubber (tyre powder) as cement replacement was investigated.

Color difference of composite resins after cementation with different shades of resin luting cement

Odontology, 2017
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the color difference of nanohybrid and ormocer-based composite resins with different thicknesses when 4 different shades of resin luting cement were used. 56 disc specimens of each composite resin (Aelite aesthetic enamel, Ceram-X mono) with 0.5 and 1 mm thicknesses were fabricated.

Microleakage of glass ionomer cement composite resin and glass ionomer resin cement.

The Journal of clinical pediatric dentistry, 1998
An in vitro dye leakage study was performed to compare the sealing ability of glass ionomer, composite resin and glass ionomer/resin cement when used as restorative materials for G. V. Black class V cavities. In this research, standard Class V cavities were prepared in sound premolar teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons.

Classification of Resin Cements

2014
This chapter discusses in detail the different types of resin cements as to their mechanism of adhesion. A comparison of the physical and mechanical properties including bond strengths is included in this chapter as well as the indications and limitations of each cement. The aim of this chapter is to guide the clinician in choosing the most appropriate

Optimal cement space for resin luting cements.

The International journal of prosthodontics, 1994
Stainless steel dies, simulating 0 to 80 microns of die spacing, were seated into a machined brass crown with Phosphacap, Panavia EX, and C & B Metabond. The seating discrepancy after 60 seconds was measured to determine the optimal cement space for best seating for each agent.

Resin Cements in Dentistry

Indian Journal of Dental Education
Even though the GIC has undergone many advances, its chemistry is fundamentally different from that of modern resin based composite direct filling products, which feature a silica or glass particle filled polymer matrix that enhances repair retention.
