Bonding of resin cements to zirconia

Journal of Dental Implants, 2015
The mechanism of bonding between resin cements and zirconia is still not well defined in the literature. Due to zirconia composition, there is a greater difficulty on these cements in establishing a chemical interaction, conferring a clinical dilemma in modern dentistry.

Studies on phenolic resin cement

Advances in Cement Research, 2007
In this study the influence of different side groups in the phenol molecule on the properties of composites made of phenolic resin and cement pastes was investigated. The three phenolic resins considered were phenol formaldehyde, resorcinol formaldehyde and m-cresol formaldehyde, which differ in the nature of the side groups in the meta position of ...

Endodontic dowel retention with resinous cements

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1992
This study compared the capability of three composite resin cements to sustain a standard endodontic dowel. All of the systems incorporated some form of smear layer removal on the dentin of the endodontic channel. One system that used a methyl ethyl ketone drying agent provided inadequate clinical resistance to dislodgment of 5.4 DaN.

Progress in cementation of reactor resins

Progress in Nuclear Energy, 2007
Abstract Effect of bentonite and ash additives on the leaching and strength properties of cement–resin matrix was investigated. Three groups of samples have been prepared by cementation of low-level-radioactive resin. These are (A) cement–resin–ash matrix, (B) cement–resin–bentonite matrix and (C) cement–resin matrix.

Radiopacity of posterior composite resins, composite resin luting cements, and glass ionomer lining cements

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1993
The radiopacities of seven posterior composite resins, seven composite resin luting cements, and six glass ionomer lining cements were studied. The purpose was to obtain an indication of radiopacity values of different brands within each of these three groups of materials and to show differences in radiopacities of composite resin inlay materials and ...

Epoxy Resins-Cement Slurries for Primary Cementing Application

Day 3 Wed, November 11, 2020, 2020
Abstract Polymer resin systems have many advantages over conventional cement. Since resins are solids-free particles, they can be used in low injectivity zones such as narrow fractures where conventional cement cannot be squeezed through.
