Electrical properties of a commercial resin
2006 IEEE Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2006The aim of this study is to present electrical properties of a commercial resin. We report our findings on its dielectric and electrical breakdown characteristics. Dielectric measurements are performed by using the frequency-and time-domain impedance techniques at room temperature.

General electric's third generation VPI resin
1985 EIC 17th Electrical/Electronics Insulation Conference, 1985A new, third generation, impregnating resin has been developed which uses “controllable reactivity” chemistry resulting in polyether linkages. This resin impregnant is capable of producing better chemical resistance, improved electrical properties, and superior thermal properties, and a long shelf life with low viscosity for thorough impregnation when ...

Intrinsic electric strength of epoxide resins
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1967The intrinsic electric strength of a series of epoxides has been determined, and the results are discussed in terms of the chemical formulations of the resins and the curing agents. The incorporation of metal co-ordination compounds into the resins in an attempt to increase the electric strengths is described and discussed.

Electrical characterization of castor-oil resins
Conference Record of the 1998 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation (Cat. No.98CH36239), 2002Several Brazilian research works have shown that new materials, based on polyurethane resins derived from castor oil, have had great success in the medical field. This could in fact be expected because of their stable physical and chemical properties.

Electrically conductive glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin
Materials Research Innovations, 1998The research on an industrially manufactured, electrically conductive glass fibre reinforced epoxy prepreg for aviation applications is reported. In a co-operative effort between Technical University Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH) and Daimler-Benz Aerospace Airbus (DASA) a new glass-epoxy composite with both electrical and good mechanical properties was ...

Epoxy casting resins with improved electrical conductivity
Colloid and Polymer Science, 1981It is reported on chemical modification of epoxy resins in order to enhance electricaldc-conductivity from 10−18 S/cm to 10−13 S/cm. Two methods of solution have been committed. The first method is based on semiconducting organic model substances having chemical structure similar to bisphenol A based epoxy resins. Substituting the hardener partially by

Bipolar electrolyte exchange resins. IV. Electric regeneration
Journal of Polymer Science Part C: Polymer Symposia, 1967AbstractIt has been demonstrated that electric regeneration of so‐called bipolar electrolyte exchange resins into the H+OH− form may take place between permselective ion‐exchange membranes provided that the resin was placed in an aqueous medium. The level of regeneration of cation and anion capacities depends on the ratio of the amount of cationic and

Electrical Failure Properties of Cast Epoxy Resins
IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1981Impulse and ac breakdown properties of transparent cast epoxy resins are reported having either a castin needle electrode or a needle-shaped recessed gold film electrode deposited by vacuum evaporation or sputtering, given a divergent electric field.
