An Ether-Containing Hafnium–Diethylene Glycol Dry Resist Prepared by Molecular Layer Deposition for Mild-Acid Development

open access: yesNanomaterials
Advanced lithography, including electron beam lithography (EBL), X-ray lithography (XRL), and extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUVL), imposes stringent requirements on photoresists in resolution, sensitivity, and process compatibility, thereby driving ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Ablation of the deubiquitinating enzyme cylindromatosis (CYLD) augments STAT1-mediated M1 macrophage polarization and fosters Staphylococcus aureus control

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
In atopic dermatitis (AD), lesional skin is frequently colonized by Staphylococcus aureus, which promotes clinical symptoms of the disease. The inflammatory milieu in the skin is characterized by a Th2 response, including M2 macrophages, which cannot ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

TREATMENT OF RESISTANT AND ULTRA RESISTANT SCHIZOPHRENIA

open access: yesPsychiatria Danubina, 2021
Schizophrenia is a psychiatric disease which affects one percent of population. It is most common in young adults. It is primarily treated with typical and atypical antipsychotics. Resistant schizophrenia is a condition diagnosed after no response is noticed to two different antipsychotics of which one is atypical.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Staphylococcus aureus serine protease-like protein B elicits a type 1/type 2 immune response in atopic dermatitis patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionAtopic dermatitis (AD), a common chronic inflammatory skin disease, is characterized by type-2-mediated inflammation, along with the detection of type-1 and type-3 cytokines in lesional skin.
