The Tale of the Residual Tail: Insights From Continuous Intracranial Monitoring From Post‐Hippocampectomy Dynamics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Subtotal hippocampal resection can leave residual hippocampal tissue, yet the immediate postoperative electrophysiologic evolution of such remnants is unknown. We describe a patient with drug‐resistant temporal lobe epilepsy in whom a hippocampal remnant was continuously monitored using a responsive neurostimulator (RNS) following subtotal ...

Herbicide resistance prediction: a mechanistic model vs. a random forest model

open access: yesFrontiers in Agronomy
IntroductionHerbicides are an important technology in the Integrated Weed Management (IWM) tool box aiming to control weeds in modern agriculture. Prediction tools to evaluate the risk of resistance evolution will greatly help to choose the best IWM ...

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Modelling resistance management benefits of diversity within a fungicidal mode of action with incomplete cross-resistance: the azoles example

open access: yes
The use of mixtures and alternation of fungicides with different mode-of-action (MoA) is well established for fungicide resistance management. The emphasis placed on mixing/alternating fungicides with different MoAs is based on the general absence of ...
