Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Research on the Measurement of AC Resistance of Overhead Transmission Lines Considering Actual Operating Conditions

open access: yesEnergies
The presence of alternating current (AC) resistance in overhead conductors contributes to additional energy losses during electrical energy transmission and affects the current-carrying capacity of the lines.

A Measuring Method about the Bus Insulation Resistance of Power Battery Pack

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2017
For the shortcomings of insulation resistance detection method about battery pack, a novel detection method is introduced. This method can effectively realize the real-time measurement for the insulation resistance of the positive and negative bus ...

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Dynamic Thermal Contact Resistance Measurement Method Using Lock-in Thermography

open access: yesProceedings, 2019
This paper proposes a new thermal contact resistance measurement method using lock-in thermography. By the lock-in thermography with an infrared microscope, the dynamic temperature behavior across the contact interface was visualized in the sample side ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.
