Range and angle estimation with spiking neural resonators for FMCW radar

open access: yesNeuromorphic Computing and Engineering
Abstract Automotive radar systems face the challenge of managing high sampling rates and large data bandwidth while complying with stringent real-time and energy efficiency requirements. Neuromorphic computing offers promising solutions because of its inherent energy efficiency and parallel processing capacity.

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

Hierarchical Primary‐Secondary Coordination Synchronizes Ion Flux and Sulfur Redox in Solid Polymer Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hierarchical coordination engineering redistributes Li+ from anion‐dominated pairing toward polymer‐mediated binding. Strong primary sites promote salt dissociation, while distributed secondary sites sustain dynamic hopping pathways. This coordination landscape couples ion flux with polysulfide conversion, suppresses transport‐conversion decoupling ...

Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable

Large-angle analytical solution of magnetization precession in ferromagnetic resonance

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Dynamics of magnetization M driven by microwave are derived analytically from the nonlinear Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation. Analytical M and susceptibility are obtained self-consistently under a positive circularly polarized microwave field, $\mathbf{h}

Multi-task learning for terahertz metamaterial molecular fingerprint sensing of α-amino acids

open access: yesMaterials & Design
The terahertz (THz) molecular fingerprints of structurally similar α-amino acids exhibit substantial spectral overlap, which makes them difficult to distinguish using conventional metamaterial sensing.

Variation in the Microfibril Angles in Resonance and Non-Resonance Spruce Wood (Picea abies [L.] Karst.)

open access: yesBioResources, 2016
Variation in microfibril angle (MFA) in the S2 of the tangent cell walls of resonance and non-resonance spruce wood (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) used in the manufacture of musical instruments was studied.

Strong Lead‐Free Bioinspired Piezoceramics for Durable Energy Transducers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We fabricated brick‐and‐mortar lead‐free piezoceramics with Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 monocrystal platelets as bricks and amorphous silica as mortar. The alignment of the bricks and the presence of the amorphous silica led to anisotropic residual stresses. These residual stresses increase the samples toughness, strength and durability while the brick alignment ...
