Solvent suppression in fourier transform nuclear magnetic resonance
Abstract New pulse sequences for solvent suppression in Fourier transform NMR are derived and evaluated. They are designed to be insensitive to the most common spectrometer imperfections so as to give efficient elimination of a solvent resonance without fine adjustment of experimental conditions.

Suppressing resonant vibrations via energy transfer concepts
A possible alternative approach to the use of classical damping methods for suppressing resonant vibration is presented in this paper. The work is conceptual in that it demonstrates, in principle, how energy can be transferred to higher harmonics by a non-linear element so as to avoid/minimize resonant behaviour.
