Shot noise in a harmonically driven ballistic graphene transistor [PDF]
We study time-dependent electron transport and quantum noise in a ballistic graphene field effect transistor driven by an ac gate potential. The non-linear response to the ac signal is computed through Floquet theory for scattering states and Landauer-B\"

Noise-induced suppression of resonant vibrations [PDF]
The effect of random parametric noises on reduction of a resonant amplitude of forced linear SDOF systems is explored. It is found that noise-induced excitations of the stiffness coefficient of the system can substantially reduce the amplitude of resonant vibrations.

Suppression of the eighth-order space-charge-induced resonance
The eighth-order space-charge-induced resonance 8ν_{y}=171 was identified as the source of beam losses and suppressed in the main ring synchrotron of the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex.

Modelling suppression and comodulation masking release using the dual-resonance nonlinear filter [PDF]
Although comodulation masking release (CMR) is commonly associated with across-channel processes, it was often argued that part of the effect may be explained by processing within an auditory filter.

Time-delayed feedback control of coherence resonance near subcritical Hopf bifurcation: theory versus experiment [PDF]
Using the model of a generalized Van der Pol oscillator in the regime of subcritical Hopf bifurcation we investigate the influence of time delay on noise-induced oscillations.

Microstrip mode suppression ring resonator
A novel ring resonator topology was developed which exhibits mode suppression characteristics. The resonator achieves the mode suppression by incorporation of a stepped impedance lowpass filter directly into the ring resonator. Experimental results show that complete suppression of a ring resonator's second mode can be achieved with no increase in ...

Cavity Resonance Suppression Using Fluidic Spoilers [PDF]
This paper examines experimentally the use of a fluidic spoiler to suppress the resonance within a partially closed cylindrical cavity subject to a grazing flow.

Problems and counter measures of arc suppression coilin 10 kV distribution system [PDF]
The arc suppression coil determines whether it can effectively extinguish the arc when it is grounded in the neutral non-effective grounding system. An artificial grounding test is an importantway to verify its performance.

Fermionic statistics suppresses Fano resonances
Fano resonances and bound states with energy in the continuum are ubiquitous phenomena in different areas of physics. Observations, however, have been limited so far to single-particle processes. In this work we experimentally investigate the multi-particle case and observe Fano interference in a non-interacting two-particle Fano-Anderson model by ...

Impact of resonance decays on critical point signals in net-proton fluctuations
The non-monotonic beam energy dependence of the higher cumulants of net-proton fluctuations is a widely studied signature of the conjectured presence of a critical point in the QCD phase diagram.
