Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Multijunction Solar Cells Toward the Multicolor Limit

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 13, 15 July 2026.
A thermodynamic design framework reveals how transfer‐printable TMD multijunction solar cells approach the multicolor limit. Within the 1.0–2.1 eV TMD bandgap window, a five‐junction ladder nears the efficiency plateau, while radiative efficiency, luminescent coupling, excitonic absorption, and bottom‐cell stability set the practical headroom for van ...

Effective Potential from the Generalized Time-Dependent Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesMathematics, 2016
We analyze the generalized time-dependent Schrödinger equation for the force free case, as a generalization, for example, of the standard time-dependent Schrödinger equation, time fractional Schrödinger equation, distributed order time fractional ...

Superluminescence from an optically pumped molecular tunneling junction by injection of plasmon induced hot electrons

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2015
Here, we demonstrate a bias-driven superluminescent point light-source based on an optically pumped molecular junction (gold substrate/self-assembled molecular monolayer/gold tip) of a scanning tunneling microscope, operating at ambient conditions and ...

Measurements of temperature characteristics and estimation of terahertz negative differential conductance in resonant-tunneling-diode oscillators

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
The temperature dependences of output power, oscillation frequency, and current-voltage curve are measured for resonant-tunneling-diode terahertz (THz) oscillators. The output power largely changes with temperature owing to the change in Ohmic loss.

Design of Voltage control Oscillator using Nonlinear Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Line

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2016
In the present work, we propose a voltage control oscillator (VCO) at high frequency consists of nonlinear composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) loaded with Resonant Tunneling Diode (RTD).

Terahertz resonant-tunneling-diode oscillator with two offset-fed slot-ring antennas

open access: yesApplied Physics Express
We proposed and fabricated a terahertz resonant-tunneling-diode oscillator integrated with two offset slot-ring antennas for high-output power and high-directivity radiation. In this device, the length of the antenna, approximately half the wavelength of

Resonant tunneling diode integrated with an extremely short focal length polarization-independent collimating metalens

open access: yesApplied Physics Express
Terahertz continuous-wave sources have been rapidly developed to cover the terahertz gap. However, integrating metasurface-based optical elements with sources remains limited due to the challenges of simultaneously designing multiple optical properties ...

Circularly polarized plane terahertz waves radiated from a resonant tunneling diode integrated with a collimating metalens and quarter-wave plate

open access: yesApplied Physics Express
Terahertz flat optics based on metasurfaces can replace massive optical components with optically thin components. However, metasurfaces with unprecedented material properties frequently produce a specified function, and terahertz flat optics has yet to ...
