LLC Resonant Converter

2018
This chapter studies the LLC resonant converter operation in different modes. First harmonic approximation (FHA) is used to obtain the main converter characteristics in steady-state, including the dc voltage static gain. The obtained equations and curves are used to design circuit parameters and predict performance, which is verified through numerical ...

A novel interleaved LLC resonant converter

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
This paper presents dual LLC converters in parallel connection. Nevertheless, proposed converter efficiently integrated two LLC resonant tanks, it successfully reduce the current stress of components and increase step-down conversion ratio with higher power density and less component number than conventional dual LLC converters. All active switches are

Resonant flyback converter

IECON '98. Proceedings of the 24th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (Cat. No.98CH36200), 2002
The paper discusses a new power converter circuit, the symmetrical resonant flyback power converter. Its fundamental mathematical analysis is presented, together with simulation results. The switches in the power converter operate with ZCS (zero current switching) at turn-on and with ZVS (zero voltage switching) at turn-off.

Analysis of a Resonant Converter Controlled by Triac

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1982
Analytical and experimental considerations in the constant voltage transformer are presented. The constant voltage transformer consists of a linear reactor, a linear transformer, a capacitor, a triac and a feedback circuit. The feedback circuit is used to make the triac fire precisely at any angle from zero to ?/2 so as to keep output voltage constant.

Small signal simulation of resonant converters

ISCAS 2001. The 2001 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01CH37196), 2002
The small signal behavior of a frequency controlled resonant converter is modeled as an equivalent PWM converter. By this model, a recently developed simulation algorithm for PWM converter is modified to simulate the open loop small signal behavior. PSPICE simulation results show that this approach is accurate and efficient.

LLC Resonant Converter With Matrix Transformer

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2014
In this paper, a high efficiency high power density matrix transformer structure for LLC resonant converters is proposed. Matrix transformer is help to reduce leakage inductance and the AC resistance of windings. Flux cancellation method is utilized to reduce core size and loss.

Resonant converters: nonlinear analysis and control

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2000
The current trends in development and deployment of advanced switching converters have facilitated the unified activities in topology design, nonlinear analysis, optimization, and control. In this paper, by using nonlinear models of resonant converters, bounded controllers are designed to ensure a spectrum of performance objectives required.
