Resonance-frequency discrimination

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1988
Measurements of the just-noticeable change in resonance frequency ∼(ΔF)r of a second-order filter are reported. The source signal was either periodic, with or without a smooth change in fundamental frequency, or it was random white noise. These differences in the nature of the source had little effect on ∼(ΔF)r.

Ultrahigh Frequency Nanotube Resonators

Physical Review Letters, 2006
We report carbon-nanotube-based electromechanical resonators with the fundamental mode frequency over 1.3 GHz, operated in air at room temperature. A new combination of drive and detection methods allows for unprecedented measurement of both oscillation amplitude and phase and elucidates the relative mobility of static charges near the nanotube.

Resonant frequencies of helical resonators

15th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04EX824), 2004
The paper investigates the resonant frequencies of helical resonators. Full-wave 3D electromagnetic analysis is used to verify closed-form formulas known from literature. Corrections to formulas for dominant mode and new formulas for higher modes are proposed. Two-helical resonators filter was designed and measured.

Resonant frequency of dielectric resonator

Proceedings RAWCON 98. 1998 IEEE Radio and Wireless Conference (Cat. No.98EX194), 2002
In this paper, an effective dielectric constant (EDC) has been introduced in an axial attenuation constant of dielectric waveguide model (DWM) method to calculate more accurately the resonant frequency of the TE/sub 01/spl delta// mode of a dielectric resonator (DR) in an MIC environment.

Frequency dependence of resonant tunneling

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1990
The time scale in coherent resonant tunneling is investigated by calculating the Ohmic conductance versus frequency, in one-dimensional single-electron terms, for a resonant-tunneling diode. When the Fermi level is at the resonance energy, the conductance rolls off near the frequency equal to (resonance width)/(Planck’s constant).
