Method of detecting resonant frequency, method of selecting resonance frequency, and device for detecting resonant frequency sensor

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2008
A device for detecting a resonant frequency comprises a sound source, a switch, a mixer, and a sound meter. The switch and mixer are capable of switching between a first state in which the switch and mixer output a measurement signal and a second state in which the switch and mixer output a synthesized signal containing the measurement signal and the ...

Resonant Frequency Testing

1998
Elastic constants are NOT CONSTANT!! They are NOT fundamental, immutable properties of a material. On the contrary, they are sensitive to variations in microstructure (e.g., due to heat treatment), crystallographic orientation and composition (even within prescribed limits).

Exterior Resonant Frequencies

1990
Each scatterer possesses exterior resonant frequencies or complex poles as an intrinsic set of wave numbers depending only on the features of the scatterer, which play a dominant role in the transient radiation in the initial-boundary value problems. They were first discovered in the mathematical theory of scattering developed in the 1960s as well as ...

Resonant frequency of dielectric ring resonator antenna

1992 Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics, 1992
A dielectric resonator (DR) placed in an open environment radiates strongly at and around its resonant frequencies. Among the advantages of DR antennas are their small size and no conductor loss. The other features of DR antennas are that each mode has a unique radiation pattern and the frequency bandwidth over which the antenna radiates efficiently ...

MEMS resonator with digitally tunable resonant frequency

SPIE Proceedings, 2009
This paper proposes, for the first time, a MEMS-based digitally tunable micromechanical resonator (DTMR). A general methodology of tuning the resonant frequency of a MEMS comb-driven resonator using digital voltages is presented. In this mechanism, a microelectromechanical digital-to-analog converter (MEMDAC) is employed as the tuning unit.

Resonant frequency of triangle split resonant rings

Optical Engineering, 2012
The resonant frequency of triangle split resonant rings and metal wires (TSRRs-MWs) is analyzed. The simulated results show that the resonant frequency can be improved and the bandwidth widened by increasing the opening size of TSRRs and by contracting the substrate.

Piezoelectrically Transduced Resonators with Robust Resonance Frequency

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
In this paper, the design for a new piezoelectrically transduced hybrid resonator with robust resonance frequency is proposed. The frequency stability problem is improved by two compensation methods for the resonator. One is to use two different thin films with a negative and positive temperature coefficient of sound velocity respectively to construct ...
