Systems with resonating-valence-bond ground states: Correlations and excitations

Physical Review B, 1988
We consider a resonating-valence-bond state as a variational estimate for the ground state of a Heisenberg antiferromagnet. We derive an expression for the normalization of this wave function, which is a superposition of a very large number of singlet pair states, which we then use to show that the singularities, correlations, and low-lying excitations

First ground-based, high-field, cryogen-free, mobile intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging system

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2023
Accurately targeting specific regions of interest in the brain is pivotal for the success of neurosurgical procedures. For example, the outcome of brain tumor resection is improved dramatically when surgeons are better able to define surgical borders. Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) helps reduce the risk of damaging critical areas of ...

A novel fault line selection method of resonant grounding system

2017 IEEE Conference on Energy Internet and Energy System Integration (EI2), 2017
In order to solve the problems of fault line selection in resonant grounding system, a novel fault line selection method for distribution network was proposed in this paper. First, continuously measure three-phase voltage and zero-sequence voltage, which detects single-phase ground fault.

Fault Line Selection in Resonant Grounded System Based on IMEn

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
When the single phase ground fault occurs in resonant grounded system, there are significant differences in the components of fault phase current between fault line and non-fault line. This feature can be reflected by intrinsic mode entropy (IMEn) of fault current. IMEn is a new signal analysis over multiple oscillation levels.

Experience with Resonant Grounding in a Large 34.5-kY System

IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1966
Since early 1946, when grounding of the 34.5-kV system of the Wisconsin Michigan Power Company was established through installation of a Peterson coil, very complete records have been maintained with regard to all ground faults on the system. The results of an analysis of these records, covering 19 years of operation with resonant grounding, are ...

Resonance Analysis and Faulty Feeder Identification of High-Impedance Faults in a Resonant Grounding System

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2017
High-impedance faults (HIF) occur frequently in resonant grounding systems and are difficult to detect. Thus, an effective HIF feeder identification technology is urgently needed. This paper establishes an HIF equivalent circuit in a resonant grounding system.

Influence of damping resistance in resonant grounding system of distribution network

2012 China International Conference on Electricity Distribution, 2012
The subject of this paper is to analyze the influence of damping resistance in resonant grounding system. In considering the widely used of the automatic arc suppressing coil, it focuses on the relationship between damping resistance and the accuracy of coil automatic tuning by the way of simulation and operation testing, and a proposal is made for ...

Fault Location Based on Correlative Characteristic Values in Resonant Grounded System

2017 10th International Conference on Intelligent Computation Technology and Automation (ICICTA), 2017
A method for fault location based on correlative characteristic values (CCVs) in resonant grounded system is presented. In this method, zero-sequence current signals of two different data windows are extracted for each feeder terminal unit (FTU) after a single-phase-to-ground fault occurs. Then, their correlation coefficient which is called CCV of each

Application of Resonant Grounding in Power Systems in the United States

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1951
Previous investigations indicated a trend toward increased application of resonant grounding in the United States. The application of resonant grounding in power systems operating at voltages from 2.4 kv to 230 kv has been analyzed on the basis of answers to a questionnaire received from all organizations using such grounding.
