A multi‐point oxygen‐sensing ultra‐fine needle (MO‐UFN) is developed by conformally integrating a lithographically patterned flexible electrochemical sensor array onto a clinical acupuncture needle. The platform preserves an approximately 0.3 mm diameter while enabling spatially resolved oxygen profiling along the insertion pathway.

Experimental observation of response to Resonant Magnetic Perturbation and its hysteresis in LHD [PDF]
The magnetic island in the large helical device (LHD) shows the dynamic behaviour of the healing/growth transition with the hysteretic behaviour. The thresholds of plasma beta and poloidal flow for island healing are larger than that for growth.

Geometry‐Driven Whispering‐Gallery Modes in Self‐Assembled Phosphorescent Organic Microtubes
Micelles encapsulating tris(2‐phenylpyridine)iridium(III) self‐assemble into a hollow hexagonal microtube stabilized by a surface passivation layer. The hexagonal cross‐section confines circulating light along its facets, sustaining sharp whispering‐gallery resonances that guide photoluminescence emission under laser excitation.

Spherical liquid crystal polymer microlasers with a bipolar configuration confine lasing to a single equatorial plane, allowing precise control over where the laser emission is generated. The anisotropic refractive index profile additionally lifts the energy degeneracy of azimuthal whispering gallery modes, which causes a characteristic splitting into ...
