Thiophosphorylated Resorcinol, Calix[4]resorcinols, and Other Hydroxyphenols

Phosphorus, Sulfur and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2011
Perdithiophosphonic acids are new types of tetracoordinated phosphorus thioacids bearing many dithiophosphoryl groups. Novel perdithiophosphonic acids were obtained by the reactions of 2,4-diaryl-1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4- disulfides with hydroxyphenols such as resorcinol, 4,4'-iso- propylidenebisphenol, pyrogallol, and calix[4]resorcinols ...

Aqueous chlorination of resorcinol

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1989
Abstract An investigation of the aqueous chlorination (NaOCl) of resorcinol is reported. The following intermediates were detected in moderate to high yield at different pH values and varying percentages of chlorination: 2-chloro-, 4-chloro-, 2,4-dichloro-, 4,6-dichloro- and 2,4,6-trichlororesorcinol.

Pharmacokinetics of Resorcinol in the Rat

Journal of Urology, 1983
Pharmacokinetic data on resorcinol were obtained from studies in the rat. The drug, administered subcutaneously in an aqueous solution, rapidly cleared plasma vir urine and did not accumulate in tissues. In the urine, the major metabolite of resorcinol was the glucuronide.

Urea–resorcinol–formaldehyde adhesives of low resorcinol content

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1993
AbstractLow resorcinol content cold‐setting urea–resorcinol–formaldehyde (URF) resins were prepared. Most of these adhesives had water‐resistant properties, whereas some also presented weather‐ and boil‐proof adhesive characteristics and performance. URF resins of acceptable adhesive performance were also prepared by inducing branching by introducing a

Positrons in resorcinol

J. Chem. Soc., Faraday Trans., 1996
The temperature dependence of parameters describing the positron lifetime spectrum in resorcinol has been investigated. It was found that the solid phase transition point is located near 353 K, but over several K the transition is very slow, its rate lies in the range of days.
